Core academic duties focus on lesson planning, classroom instruction, and student engagement. You will create interactive sessions—lectures, discussions, projects, and debates—to bring history to life. Field trips, document analysis, and multimedia presentations may also be part of your teaching approach. Your ability to simplify complex events while maintaining academic rigor is essential.
Assessment and planning duties involve evaluating student understanding through exams, quizzes, and project-based assessments. You will develop rubrics, conduct formative checks, and provide constructive feedback. Planning sessions with colleagues help refine teaching methods and address student learning gaps effectively.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. Two years of teaching experience in History or a related subject is required. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, having it can be beneficial for career growth.
