Subh International School | Akhnoor is seeking a dedicated PGT Physical Education Teacher to lead its dynamic Physical Education program. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator passionate about shaping young minds through sports, fitness, and holistic development in Jammu’s vibrant academic environment.
Responsibilities
Design and implement engaging Physical Education curricula aligned with school standards and national frameworks. Supervise extracurricular sports activities, including team sports, athletics, and fitness programs, ensuring safety and adherence to rules. Collaborate with the school’s sports faculty to organize inter-house competitions, tournaments, and outdoor adventure events. Maintain records of student participation, performance, and progress in sports activities. Foster a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, and physical well-being among students. Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student abilities and learning needs. Work closely with parents to communicate student progress in Physical Education. Ensure compliance with school policies on sports equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.
Qualification
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree in Physical Education or a related field. Possess a valid TET/CTET certificate for teaching in schools. A postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a relevant subject is preferred. Experience in teaching Physical Education at the secondary level is advantageous.
Experience
Minimum two years of teaching experience in Physical Education at the secondary or senior secondary level. Familiarity with Jammu’s school curriculum and sports culture is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced school environment.
