Job Description
PRT Computer Science Teacher Job in Jammu, Jammu And Kashmir | School Recruitment
About This Role
International Delhi Public School Ghou Manhasan integrates smart boards, Google Classroom, and a school-wide LMS to keep every Computer Science lesson hands-on and current. The PRT Computer Science Teacher will plan lessons that combine programming, logic, and real-world tech projects for Grades 1 to 8. Students here learn Python basics, Scratch animations, and ethical AI awareness from day one, so your classroom must stay one step ahead.
How You Will Teach
Classes run on blended models—direct instruction on the smart board, live coding demos, and asynchronous practice on Google Classroom. You’ll upload micro-projects to the LMS each week, so students can debug at home and you can track progress in real time. For younger grades, unplugged activities (binary bracelets, algorithmic puzzles) bridge the screen-time gap while still building core concepts.
Day-to-Day Duties
Design weekly lesson plans that map programming outcomes to NCERT themes, ensuring continuity with other subjects. Prepare step-by-step lab sheets for Python IDLE, Scratch, and HTML/CSS exercises that fit the 40-minute period without rushing. Maintain a shared Google Drive folder with starter code templates, rubrics, and sample outputs for every topic.
Integrate blended learning by flipping two classes per week: students watch a 5-minute concept video at home and solve problems in class the next day. Use the LMS quiz tool to auto-grade multiple-choice questions on data types, loops, and debugging, freeing you to focus on deeper misconceptions. Organize a monthly “Debug-It Day” where students solve peer-uploaded bugs on the class forum.
Collaborate with the math and science teams to co-create interdisciplinary projects—think a Python script that graphs weather data from the school’s IoT weather station. Attend weekly tech syncs with the IT coordinator to update classroom Chromebooks, reset logins, and test new tools before rollout.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Computer Science or related field with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized university. Minimum three years of full-time teaching experience in primary or middle school Computer Science Teaching Job in Jammu. Working knowledge of Python, Scratch, and HTML/CSS is essential.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, including Classroom, Sites, and Jamboard. Experience using free LMS platforms like Moodle or OpenEdx to host self-paced modules. Digital literacy to troubleshoot student logins, Wi-Fi dongles, and projector issues on the fly.
What You Get
Rs.18,000 – Rs.30,000 per month based on experience and performance reviews. School-provided Chromebook for lesson planning, access to the institutional LMS, and an annual budget for teaching-learning materials.
