Unique Sr. Sec. School is looking for a PRT Dance Teacher to join the faculty in Jammu. The position is designed to nurture creativity and confidence through movement across grades one through five. Who You Will Teach
Classes span diverse learning levels, from energetic beginners in Grade 1 to more expressive performers in Grade 5. The inclusive classroom includes children with varied abilities and backgrounds, all seated together in Jammu’s vibrant school community. Your teaching will bridge local dance traditions with foundational movement skills.
What You Will Do
Plan age-appropriate dance sessions that build coordination and rhythm for each grade level.
Use simple props and folk steps familiar to Jammu children to make lessons accessible.
Differentiate instruction so every learner, regardless of prior experience, feels included and challenged.
Support students with special needs by adapting movements and providing one-on-one guidance when needed.
Collaborate with PRTs in other subjects to integrate dance themes into broader classroom projects.
Maintain a safe, orderly studio space where children can explore movement freely.
Communicate progress to parents through informal notes and periodic updates.
Participate in school assemblies and annual functions where dance performances showcase student growth.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be graduates with at least two years of teaching experience in dance. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required; TET or CTET is preferred but not mandatory. Previous work with young children in Jammu or similar settings is advantageous.
