Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School invites a dynamic TGT Physics Teacher to guide our high school physics program, with potential to serve as Head of Department (HOD) Physics. Your leadership will define how we prepare students for STEM careers while aligning with state education standards. This is more than a teaching job—it’s about mentoring the next generation of scientists and engineers in Jammu’s thriving academic landscape.

As a TGT Physics Teacher, you will:
1. Develop and implement advanced physics curricula, ensuring alignment with CBSE and state board guidelines while incorporating modern pedagogies.
2. Lead departmental planning sessions to refine teaching strategies and assess student learning outcomes through regular assessments.
3. Collaborate with subject coordinators to organize hands-on experiments, field trips, and interactive workshops that bridge theory with practical applications.
4. Mentor junior teachers, sharing best practices in physics instruction and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the department.
5. Oversee lab management, ensuring safe and well-equipped facilities for experiments and demonstrations.
6. Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote STEM awareness, including organizing science fairs and guest lectures by local scientists.
7. Monitor student performance data to identify trends and adjust teaching methods accordingly, particularly for students struggling with foundational concepts.
8. Represent Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School at regional education forums, sharing innovative teaching approaches to influence broader academic practices.
9. Develop and maintain a physics resource library, curating textbooks, digital learning materials, and supplementary resources for classroom use.

For this TGT Physics Teacher position in Jammu, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Physics along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A strong command of physics concepts, particularly mechanics, thermodynamics, and modern physics, will be essential. Three years of teaching experience, preferably in high school or equivalent, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a passion for mentoring students and a track record of leadership in educational settings will be highly valued.

This role offers a clear path for professional growth, including the potential to serve as Head of Department (HOD) Physics within two years, where you would oversee departmental budgets, curriculum standards, and strategic planning. Your influence will extend beyond the classroom, shaping Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School’s reputation as a leader in physics education in Jammu. With a competitive salary of Rs.20,000 - Rs.35,000 per month, this position also includes benefits such as a performance-based bonus, professional development stipends, and opportunities for participation in national science competitions.

To apply, submit a detailed resume highlighting your teaching philosophy, leadership experience, and physics-specific achievements. Include letters of recommendation from past employers or mentors who can attest to your ability to inspire and guide students. Send your application to the principal of Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, along with a cover letter outlining how your skills align with our vision for physics education in Jammu.
