Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and mock examinations, providing constructive feedback to improve student performance. Mentor students for economics Olympiads and inter‑school competitions, encouraging analytical thinking and research skills. Coordinate with the department head and other faculty members for interdisciplinary projects, especially those linking economics with geography and social studies. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress reports as per school policy. Participate in parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student achievements and areas for improvement. Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum and suggest updates based on recent economic trends and policy changes. Supervise extracurricular activities such as the Economics Club and organize field trips to local markets or government offices for practical exposure. Ensure classroom discipline and a safe learning environment, adhering to school rules and guidelines.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must possess a post‑graduate degree in Economics along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level is required. TET or CTET qualification is preferred and will be considered an added advantage. Strong communication skills in English and Hindi, coupled with a good grasp of the regional context of Jammu And Kashmir, are essential.
Salary and Location
