Conduct periodic reviews of textbooks and supplementary resources to ensure relevance and modern relevance. Collaborate with science department colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning, such as linking biology with environmental studies or health sciences.
Core Duties – Student Development:
Act as a mentor for high school biology students, guiding them through challenging topics and fostering critical thinking. Organize biology-related extracurricular activities, such as science fairs, workshops, or field trips, to enhance learning outside the classroom. Provide constructive feedback on student projects, lab reports, and research-based assignments to support academic growth.
Qualification and Experience:
Hold a postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field, with a minimum of three years of teaching experience. Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory. A Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in teaching biology to students in the 11th and 12th grades is highly desirable.
