PGT Business Studies Teacher Position at Birla Open Minds International School, Srinagar
Birla Open Minds International School in Srinagar North seeks a dedicated PGT Business Studies Teacher to lead high school students in core business principles, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. This role demands expertise in designing engaging lesson plans that align with modern curriculum standards while fostering critical thinking and real-world application.
You will develop and deliver weekly syllabus-based modules, including case studies, group projects, and interactive workshops, to prepare students for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and state board assessments. Daily classroom instruction will cover topics like accounting fundamentals, marketing strategies, and business ethics, ensuring students grasp both theoretical concepts and practical skills.
Collaborate closely with the subject coordinators and curriculum team to refine teaching methods, adapt content for diverse learning needs, and introduce innovative pedagogies. Assess student performance through continuous evaluation—quizzes, assignments, and project-based assessments—to provide constructive feedback and track progress.
Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, digital tools, and supplementary materials, to support both in-person and hybrid learning environments. Act as a mentor to junior faculty, sharing best practices and troubleshooting challenges in lesson delivery.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, along with opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic, international educational setting.
Qualifications:
A postgraduate degree in Business Studies, Commerce, or a related field with at least two years of teaching experience in high school or equivalent settings. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly advantageous for this role.
