Birla Open Minds International School in Srinagar North invites applications for the role of Primary Grade Teacher (PRT) to teach Urdu in its early childhood and foundational classes. This position focuses on delivering engaging, culturally relevant Urdu lessons to students in classes 1 to 5, ensuring alignment with the school’s curriculum and local educational standards.
The successful candidate will prepare daily lesson plans that incorporate age-appropriate language exercises, storytelling, and interactive activities. Teaching will emphasize phonetics, basic grammar, and cultural appreciation through Urdu literature and regional traditions. Classroom management will prioritize creating a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate actively.
Experience in teaching Urdu to young learners or exposure to early childhood education is beneficial. A graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, prior teaching experience in a similar setting will be advantageous.
