Position Details
PGT Political Science Teacher at Dr. P.l. International School, Purbi Tundi, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Full‑time role with 2 years of teaching experience required. Salary range Rs.35,000 – Rs.50,000 per month. Post‑graduate qualification mandatory; B.Ed/D.El.Ed preferred, TET/CTET optional.
Teaching
Deliver engaging Political Science lessons to classes 11 and 12, aligning with the state curriculum. Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and classroom activities that promote critical thinking. Use varied instructional techniques to cater to diverse learning styles.
Planning
Collaborate with the subject coordinator to develop the annual syllabus and assessment schedules. Design unit plans that integrate current affairs and case studies to enhance relevance. Participate in curriculum review meetings to update content and teaching methods.
Assessment
Create formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, projects, and mock exams. Grade assignments promptly, providing constructive feedback to students. Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress reports.
Student Support
Identify students needing additional assistance and offer remedial sessions or study groups. Guide students on exam strategies and study plans. Counsel students on career options related to Political Science and public service.
Coordination
Work with fellow teachers to organize school events such as debates, model parliaments, and guest lectures. Coordinate with administrative staff to ensure smooth execution of class schedules and resource availability. Represent the school in local academic forums and competitions.
Administration
Maintain classroom discipline and a conducive learning environment. Update attendance registers and submit reports as required. Manage classroom materials and ensure compliance with school policies and safety standards.
