Job Description
Birla Open Minds International School Garhwa seeks a dedicated PRT to teach Environmental Studies (Evs) to students in Class VI to VIII. The role focuses on fostering environmental awareness through interactive lessons, field trips, and hands-on projects aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
Design and deliver engaging Evs lessons covering topics like biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable practices. Plan and conduct practical experiments, workshops, and outdoor activities to enhance learning. Collaborate with the science and social science teachers to integrate environmental themes across subjects.
Qualified candidates must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a minimum of two years of teaching experience. A TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Ensure students grasp key concepts through visual aids, discussions, and real-world examples relevant to Garhwa’s geography and local ecosystems.
Teach students about environmental conservation, waste management, and energy efficiency using age-appropriate methods. Maintain a positive classroom environment while adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Participate in school events like eco-festivals and sustainability campaigns.
The PRT Evs Teacher will be based in Nagaruntari, Garhwa, with a monthly salary ranging from Rs.15,000 to Rs.20,000. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for environmental education in a multicultural school setting. Experience in teaching environmental science or related subjects will be an asset.
