About This Role
Dayanand Arya Vedic Public School in Godda, Jharkhand invites applications for the post of TGT English Teacher to join our academic team. As an English Teacher in our school, you will be responsible for teaching English to students from classes VI to X. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced teacher to contribute to the academic growth of our students.
What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students
- Prepare and administer tests, quizzes, and exams
- Monitor students' progress and maintain records
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Develop and implement English language learning materials
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school events
- Supervise students during co-curricular activities and excursions
- Maintain the school's English language lab and library
Who Can Apply
Must Have:
- Postgraduate degree in English or a related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution
- Valid TET or CTET certification (not essential but preferred)
- 3 years of experience as a TGT English Teacher in a school
Good to Have:
- Experience teaching English as a second language
- Knowledge of Indian literature and linguistics
- Familiarity with English language teaching methodologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidate will receive a salary of Rs.25,000 - Rs.42,000 per month, along with other benefits as per the school's policy.
