About This Role
Mdav School integrates interactive smart boards, digital labs, and cloud-based assessment tools to make Chemistry concepts tangible for students in Jamatra. The PGT Chemistry Teacher will lead senior secondary classes with a focus on real-world applications, lab simulations, and data-driven feedback. Lesson plans must align with Jharkhand Academic Council syllabi while leveraging digital resources for deeper understanding.
Pedagogy and Tools
Mdav School uses Google Classroom for assignments, LMS portals for resource sharing, and blended learning modules with pre-recorded experiment videos. Smart boards facilitate live molecular modeling, periodic table drills, and instant quiz feedback. Teachers are expected to curate digital worksheets and upload lab reports on the school intranet weekly.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver PGT Chemistry lessons using smart boards, LMS, and Google Classroom for grades 11-12. Create 15-minute concept videos on chemical bonding or redox reactions for flipped classroom sessions. Integrate PhET simulations for acid-base titration and equilibrium studies to replace traditional chalkboard sketches. Conduct weekly online quizzes on the LMS to track concept retention in Jamatra classrooms. Organize virtual lab sessions when physical labs are unavailable due to power constraints. Upload monthly progress reports on the parent portal with annotated performance graphs. Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot projector or Wi-Fi issues during live demonstrations. Prepare students for JEE Main and NEET chemistry sections through targeted digital problem sets.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Chemistry with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory; TET/CTET preferred but not essential. Two years of teaching experience in senior secondary Chemistry, preferably in Jharkhand schools. Familiarity with Jharkhand Academic Council curriculum for Classes 11-12. Hands-on experience with smart boards, Google Classroom, and basic video editing tools.
Skills We Value
Fluency in digital tools such as PhET simulations, ChemDraw, and Moodle-based LMS platforms. Ability to convert textbook reactions into interactive 3D models using free software. Comfort with uploading assignments, grading online, and communicating via WhatsApp groups for quick updates. Basic troubleshooting skills for classroom projectors or Wi-Fi dongles during monsoon disruptions in Karmatanr.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly salary ranges from Rs.30,000 to Rs.66,000 based on qualifications and experience. Mdav School provides reimbursement for data plans used for teaching resources. In-house training on smart board usage and LMS management is provided during the first month.
