About This Role
Mdav School in Karmatanr, Jamatra, Jharkhand invites applications for the post of PGT History Teacher. We require a dedicated teacher with expertise in History to join our faculty.
Pedagogy and Tools (specific to History)
The successful candidate will be expected to teach History to students of Class 9 to 12. They will be required to use various tools and methods such as case studies, primary sources, and museum visits to make History learning engaging and interactive. The teacher will also be expected to use digital tools such as presentations, videos, and online resources to enhance teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach History to students of Class 9 to 12.
- Prepare and deliver lessons on various topics in History.
- Use a range of teaching methods to engage students, including case studies, primary sources, and museum visits.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Evaluate student understanding through tests and assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Attend meetings and workshops to improve teaching skills.
- Participate in school events and activities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in History or a related subject. A B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree is also required for teaching positions. CTET/TET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent knowledge of History, including Indian History, World History, and contemporary issues.
- Strong teaching and communication skills.
- Ability to use digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience of teaching History to students of Class 9 to 12.
- Familiarity with curriculum and teaching methods in Indian schools.
Perks and Pay
Salary: Rs.30,000 - Rs.66,000 per month.
