About This Role
Mdav School is looking for a Post Graduate Trained Physics Teacher for a full-time position. The role is designed for someone who can simplify complex concepts like electromagnetic induction or quantum mechanics for classes 11 and 12. Two years of classroom experience is required; TET/CTET certification is optional.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with the CBSE Physics syllabus for senior secondary sections.
Conduct demonstrations using locally available materials to explain concepts like lenses, circuits, and thermodynamics.
Organize monthly lab sessions where students verify Ohm’s law or measure specific heat.
Assign problem sets from NCERT and additional reference books for self-practice.
Evaluate unit tests and practical exams, returning marked papers within three days.
Guide students for competitive exams such as KVPY and Olympiads in Physics.
Coordinate with the lab assistant to maintain inventory of meters, ammeters, and magnets.
Attend weekly department meetings to discuss student progress and curriculum gaps.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Physics with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with Physics specialization.
Two years of teaching experience in Physics at the senior secondary level.
Preference will be given to candidates familiar with CBSE pattern and Jharkhand board context.
What You Get
Fixed monthly salary between Rs.30,000 and Rs.66,000 based on experience and qualifications.
