Role Summary
This is a senior English department role at Grizzly Kids Grizzly Public School Jharkhand. The position is designed for an experienced English teacher who can shape the NTT English curriculum, guide junior staff, and drive board results. What You Will Do
Lead the design and delivery of the NTT English syllabus across Nursery to Upper KG, ensuring alignment with CBSE guidelines and age-appropriate learning outcomes. Curate phonics programs, storytelling sessions, and activity-based learning modules that build foundational literacy in young learners.
Mentor and coach 3–4 junior English teachers, conducting weekly classroom observations, feedback sessions, and resource-sharing meetings to raise overall teaching standards. Create model lesson plans and demonstrate best practices in phonics, vocabulary building, and listening comprehension for NTT classes.
Monitor student progress through monthly assessments, maintain detailed portfolios, and share concise progress reports with parents during PTMs. Prepare learners for the annual Grizzly Kids Grizzly Public School Jharkhand NTT English exhibition and cultural events.
Organize inter-house English recitation competitions and spelling bees that encourage public speaking and confidence among NTT students. Collaborate with the art and music departments to integrate English through rhymes, dramatization, and thematic projects.
Work closely with the school coordinator to set annual English learning goals and track them through simple rubrics and anecdotal records. Support the school’s transition to digital English resources by curating age-appropriate apps and interactive games.
Attend weekly English department meetings to discuss challenges, share solutions, and plan cross-grade activities that reinforce language skills. Present a quarterly English department report to the management highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized Indian institution. Minimum 5 years of full-time English teaching experience in the NTT or Lower KG segment.
Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared TET/CTET and have experience with CBSE or state board NTT English curricula. Familiarity with Jharkhand school culture and parent engagement practices is an advantage.
