About This Role
We are looking for an exceptional PGT Economics Teacher who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students. As a member of our Economics department, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of thinkers and leaders. Your expertise in Economics will help our students develop a deep understanding of the subject and its relevance to the world around them.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Economics to classes 11th and 12th, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
- Prepare and administer assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student progress.
- Provide individualized attention and guidance to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs, projects, and activities that promote student learning and engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Economics and pedagogy, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies into the classroom.
- Participate in school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and career fairs.
- Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that they align with school goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results.
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field (M.A., M.Com, or M.Sc. Economics).
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree required for teaching positions.
- Preferably CTET or TET qualified.
- 4 years of experience in teaching Economics at the senior secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to contribute to the school's mission and values.
