About This Role
Grizzly Vidyalaya invites experienced History educators for a PGT History Teacher position in Kodarma. The role focuses on delivering structured lessons for Classes 11-12, aligning with CBSE History curriculum. Candidates should be prepared to handle senior secondary content with depth and clarity.
How You Will Teach
Classes will include lectures, discussions, and source-based learning for Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Indian History. Maps, timelines, and primary documents will be used regularly. Key Responsibilities
Plan weekly History lessons covering NCERT and supplementary readings for Classes 11-12.
Prepare and conduct tests, term exams, and periodic assessments in History.
Use audio-visual aids and digital tools to explain historical timelines and themes.
Organize field trips or local heritage walks connected to History syllabus.
Maintain student portfolios with annotated essays and project work in History.
Collaborate with other Humanities teachers to integrate History with Political Science and Geography.
Provide remedial support to students struggling with History concepts.
Participate in History department meetings and contribute to curriculum updates.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate degree in History with minimum 50% marks required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Social Science is mandatory. Candidates with History specialization at postgraduate level will be preferred. Prior teaching experience of at least 3 years in senior secondary History is essential.
Preferred Skills
Strong command over Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Indian History periods.
Ability to design source-based questions and map-based activities.
Familiarity with CBSE History syllabus and assessment patterns.
Experience using PowerPoint, Google Earth, and basic editing tools for History teaching.
