Job Overview
Grizzly Vidyalaya uses interactive smart boards in every classroom and maintains a single login access for students to Google Classroom and the school LMS. As the PRT Music Teacher, you will plan lessons that blend traditional tabla and harmonium practice with digital notation tools and audio recording exercises. Your role is to make Kodarma’s young learners confident in both classical ragas and contemporary beats while keeping digital records of their progress.
How You Will Teach
Daily lessons will be projected on smart boards with synchronized audio clips and animated scales. Students will submit practice recordings through Google Classroom before each Friday, receiving audio feedback from you. You will curate playlists on the school’s LMS so learners can review lessons at home on their mobile phones.
What You Will Do
Create weekly lesson plans that combine vocal exercises, instrumental practice, and music theory quizzes on the LMS.
Upload audio-visual tutorials of Kodarma folk songs and patriotic numbers for students to practice offline.
Use digital tuners and metronomes projected on smart boards during ensemble sessions.
Maintain a shared Google Sheet for attendance, assignment submission, and practice hours.
Conduct online parent-teacher meetings via Google Meet once a month to showcase student progress.
Organize inter-house music competitions and upload video highlights to the school YouTube channel.
Train students to use free music apps like Soundtrap for collaborative compositions.
Digitize student portfolios in PDF format every term and share them with parents through email.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized Indian institution.
Minimum three years of classroom teaching experience in a school environment.
Fluency in Hindi and English; familiarity with local Kodarma dialects is helpful.
Basic computer skills to operate smart boards, Google Classroom, and the school LMS.
Experience in teaching vocal and instrumental music to children aged 6–14.
Preferred Skills
Digital literacy including use of audio editing software like Audacity or GarageBand.
Ability to create simple music notation files using MuseScore or similar tools.
Comfort with online teaching platforms and mobile-based learning apps.
Knowledge of Kodarma’s regional music traditions is an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits
Monthly salary range is Rs.15,000 – Rs.30,000 based on qualifications and experience.
