You will also be responsible for maintaining the Social Science laboratory and resource room, ensuring that students have access to a wide range of materials and tools.
What You Will Do
As a PRT Social Science Teacher at St. Xavier High School, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students
- Creating assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and understanding
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance and progress
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes and updates
- Participating in staff meetings and professional development programs
- Providing support and guidance to students beyond the classroom
- Participating in school events and activities that promote social science education
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging student participation and engagement in class discussions and activities
- Developing and implementing strategies to address social science learning gaps
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science or a related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree
- CTET or TET certification preferred
- 2 years of teaching experience in Social Science
