Role Summary
The Principal and Senior Management Team at Oxford Public School invite applications for a full‑time Post‑Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Accountancy. The role requires a professional who can design and deliver the Accountancy curriculum, assess student performance, and contribute to the academic growth of the school’s secondary cohort. Key Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans that align with the school’s academic framework and the state education board’s standards for Accountancy.
- Deliver engaging, concept‑driven instruction to students in grades 9–12, ensuring clarity of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and transactional analysis.
- Incorporate real‑world examples and case studies to illustrate the application of accounting concepts in business and personal finance contexts.
- Prepare and administer formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, projects, and examinations, to gauge student understanding and progress.
- Provide constructive feedback on student work, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and suggest remedial strategies where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports in accordance with school policy.
- Mentor and guide students preparing for competitive examinations that include accounting components, such as commerce streams at the state level.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum reviews, and professional development sessions to stay current with evolving accounting standards and pedagogical practices.
- Collaborate with the school’s administration to organize practical workshops, guest lectures, or industry visits that enhance students’ exposure to real‑world accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field (post‑graduate qualification).
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility to teach at the secondary level (where required by the state education department).
Experience
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in Accountancy at the secondary level, preferably in a school environment similar to Oxford Public School.
Salary
- Competitive monthly remuneration ranging from Rs.35,000 to Rs.60,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Location
