Job Description
Oxford Public School seeks a Post‑graduate qualified teacher to deliver Economics to senior secondary classes in Chainpur, Palamu, Jharkhand. The role involves planning, teaching and assessing the Economics curriculum for Classes XI and XII, ensuring students develop a clear understanding of micro‑ and macro‑economic concepts, Indian economic policies and contemporary financial issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with the prescribed Economics syllabus, incorporating real‑world examples and current affairs.
- Conduct classroom teaching using interactive methods such as case studies, data analysis exercises and discussions to develop analytical skills.
- Prepare and evaluate formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, unit tests, model papers and board examinations, providing timely feedback.
- Identify learning gaps through regular performance monitoring and implement remedial strategies for individual students.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and progress reports in accordance with school policies.
- Participate in departmental meetings to coordinate curriculum pacing, share resources and discuss student outcomes.
- Support the preparation of school‑level Economics projects, exhibitions or seminars when required.
- Uphold the school’s code of conduct, promote a disciplined learning environment and model professional ethics.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (Classes XI‑XII).
- Demonstrated ability to teach the full Economics syllabus and to prepare students for board examinations.
Employment Details
- Full‑time position at Oxford Public School, Chainpur, Palamu, Jharkhand (Tier 4 location).
- Salary range: Rs. 35,000 – Rs. 60,000 per month, payable as per school norms.
