Job Description
Role Introduction
The selected candidate will join Oxford Public School as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics, responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction to students in grades 11 and 12, aligning with the Jharkhand State Board curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for Mathematics, covering algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry and trigonometry, ensuring concepts are understandable and engaging.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including problem‑solving sessions, interactive discussions, and visual aids to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress through regular quizzes, assignments, and mock exams, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Prepare students for board examinations by conducting revision classes, analyzing past papers, and identifying common pitfalls.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson logs, and student performance data in accordance with school policy.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects that apply mathematical concepts to real‑world contexts.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and curriculum review sessions to stay updated with pedagogical best practices.
- Mentor junior teachers and interns, offering guidance on lesson planning, classroom management and assessment techniques.
- Encourage student participation in mathematics competitions and extracurricular activities, fostering a culture of analytical thinking.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with the Jharkhand State Board syllabus and examination patterns.
Salary, Employment Type and Location
- Monthly remuneration ranging from Rs.35,000 to Rs.60,000.
- Full‑time employment.
- Position based in Chainpur, Palamu district, Jharkhand (Tier 4 locality).
