Dance – Primary (PRT) Teacher
Oxford Public School, Chainpur, Palamu, Jharkhand is inviting applications for a full‑time Primary (PRT) Dance Teacher. The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 30,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age‑appropriate dance lessons for primary classes, integrating basic rhythm, movement, and expression techniques.
- Design simple choreography that aligns with the school’s cultural and extracurricular calendar, preparing students for school functions and inter‑school events.
- Conduct warm‑up and safety routines before each session, ensuring a safe environment for all participants.
- Assess student progress through observation and informal evaluations, providing feedback to students and parents as required.
- Maintain attendance records and submit lesson plans and activity reports to the Head of Department on a weekly basis.
- Collaborate with other primary teachers to incorporate movement activities that support overall curriculum objectives, such as language and social skills development.
- Organize occasional performances, managing costumes and props within the resources available at the school.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school functions as a member of the teaching team.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate degree in any discipline; a background in dance or performing arts is essential.
- Minimum two years of teaching experience in dance at the primary level.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young learners and to foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
