What You Will Do
As an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR of Quantum Physics at Cambridge Institute Of Technology, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Quantum Physics, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions.
- Advising students on academic matters, including course selection, research projects, and career development.
- Participating in academic administration, including curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives.
- Supervising research projects and guiding students in their research endeavors.
- Participating in departmental and university committees to contribute to decision-making and policy development.
- Engaging in professional development activities to stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
- Contributing to the development of the faculty's research agenda and securing external funding for research projects.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Ph.D. in Quantum Physics or a related field from a recognized university.
- A strong record of research and publication in the field of Quantum Physics.
- Industry experience is preferred, but not essential.
- A strong teaching and mentoring background, with experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
