About This Role
Cambridge Institute Of Technology seeks an Associate Professor in Transportation Engineering to join its faculty. We are looking for a candidate with a strong academic background and teaching experience in transportation engineering. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in transportation engineering.
What You Will Do
- Teach undergraduate courses in transportation engineering, including transportation systems, traffic engineering, and transportation planning.
- Teach postgraduate courses in transportation engineering, including transportation policy, transportation economics, and transportation management.
- Develop and implement curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in transportation engineering.
- Conduct research in transportation engineering and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Guide postgraduate students in their research projects.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities of the department.
- Conduct fieldwork and industrial visits to enhance student learning experience.
Postgraduate Students
As an Associate Professor, you will be responsible for guiding postgraduate students in their research projects. You will help them in developing research proposals, conducting literature reviews, and collecting data. You will also be responsible for guiding them in the preparation of their thesis and project reports. You will have to evaluate their progress and provide them with feedback.
Who Can Apply
To apply for this position, you must have a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks. You should also have a NET/SLET qualification or a Ph.D. from a recognized university. Your research experience and publications in peer-reviewed journals will be given due weightage. You should have a strong academic background and teaching experience in transportation engineering.
