Role Summary
St. Michael’s School, a well-established educational institution in Rahe, Ranchi, Jharkhand, invites applications for the position of NTT English Teacher who can not only teach but also take on leadership responsibilities in the English department. Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the English curriculum at St. Michael’s School, ensuring that it aligns with the state board requirements and is in line with the school's educational philosophy.
* Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on teaching methodologies and curriculum planning.
* Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students, parents, and teachers.
* Prepare and administer English language proficiency tests to assess student performance.
* Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects.
* Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum matters, student performance, and other departmental issues.
* Develop and maintain relationships with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
* Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, such as debates, elocution competitions, and literary events.
Eligibility Criteria
* A Bachelor's degree in English or related field with a B.Ed./D.El.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching English as a subject in a school setting.
* NET/SET or equivalent qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and teaching methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
