Economics (PGT) Vacancy in Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand
Acharyakulam Ranchi
Job Description
About This Role
Acharyakulam Ranchi blends traditional values with modern teaching methods to create a dynamic learning environment. The school uses interactive smart boards, real-time student response systems, and a cloud-based LMS to make Economics engaging and accessible. As a PGT Economics Teacher, you will guide students through micro and macroeconomic concepts using digital resources and data-driven examples.
Pedagogy and Tools
The Economics classroom at Acharyakulam Ranchi runs on a blended model where live lectures, pre-recorded sessions, and self-paced modules coexist. Teachers create assignments in Google Classroom, share case studies via YouTube links, and use Excel-based simulations for demand-supply graphs. Parents receive weekly progress reports through the parent portal, and students collaborate on projects using shared Google Sheets and Docs.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver PGT Economics lessons that connect theory to real-world issues like inflation, GST, and demonetisation in Jharkhand’s context. Integrate digital tools such as Kahoot quizzes for revision, Desmos for plotting graphs, and Padlet for collaborative mind-maps. Conduct weekly online doubt-clearing sessions using Google Meet and maintain a digital portfolio of student assignments and feedback. Organise inter-house Economics debates and budget simulations to build analytical and presentation skills. Use smart boards to demonstrate live economic models and import real-time data from RBI and NITI Aayog for classroom discussions. Create flipped classroom content—record short videos on topics like circular flow of income and share them before each chapter. Set up formative assessments using Google Forms and analyse results to adjust teaching strategies. Collaborate with the IT team to upload lesson plans, worksheets, and resource links on the school’s LMS for anytime access.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Economics with B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. Two years of full-time Economics teaching experience in classes XI–XII is required. Candidates familiar with CBSE syllabus and familiar with Namkum’s local economic landscape will have an added advantage.
