PGT Political Science Teacher Position at Calcutta Public School, Ormanjhi
Teach Political Science at Calcutta Public School, Ormanjhi, with a focus on shaping students’ understanding of governance, international relations, and contemporary political dynamics. This role demands expertise in designing syllabus-aligned lessons, integrating case studies from India’s constitutional framework and global politics. Engage students through interactive debates, simulations, and discussions on current affairs to foster critical thinking.
Develop and implement assessment strategies that evaluate students’ comprehension of political theories, policy analyses, and historical events. Collaborate with the curriculum team to adapt resources for diverse learning needs, ensuring alignment with state-level educational standards. Prepare students for competitive exams by offering targeted revision modules on constitutional law, political economy, and electoral processes.
Ensure compliance with school policies on ethical teaching practices, including maintaining confidentiality in student evaluations. Actively participate in departmental meetings to discuss pedagogical approaches and share innovative teaching methods. Maintain a classroom environment that encourages respectful discourse while addressing sensitive political topics with sensitivity.
Hold a postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related discipline with at least two years of teaching experience. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. Experience in teaching Political Science at the secondary level is highly desirable. Salary for this position is Rs.35,000 to Rs.50,000 per month, with the location set in Ormanjhi, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
