Job Description
PRT Social Science Teacher Position at Calcutta Public School, Ormanjhi
Teach Social Science subjects, including history, geography, and civics, to students in Class 6 to Class 8. Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum while ensuring age-appropriate content delivery.
Prepare and conduct daily classes, using visual aids, discussions, and interactive activities to enhance learning. Assess student performance through regular tests, projects, and practical evaluations to track progress.
Maintain a positive classroom environment by addressing behavioral issues calmly and consistently. Collaborate with other teachers to support student development across subjects.
Prepare and maintain grade-wise records, attendance logs, and subject-wise progress reports. Ensure compliance with school policies regarding attendance, discipline, and academic standards.
Attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address any concerns. Assist in organizing school events related to Social Science, such as history fairs or geography exhibitions.
Ensure proper classroom management, including seating arrangements, safety protocols, and resource organization. Act as a point of contact for students with specific learning needs within the Social Science curriculum.
Participate in school-wide activities, including workshops and training sessions focused on teaching methodologies. Keep updated on educational trends and best practices in Social Science teaching.
