Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, ensuring age-appropriate content and assessment techniques. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate English across subjects, promoting cross-disciplinary learning. Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Attend regular faculty meetings and workshops to stay updated on teaching best practices and educational trends.
Periodic Responsibilities
Organize cultural and literary events, such as poetry readings, debates, or drama performances, to celebrate English language skills. Participate in term-end evaluations and report student progress to parents and administration. Ensure compliance with school policies regarding attendance, discipline, and academic standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in English or a related field along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum four years of teaching experience, preferably in English or a similar subject, is essential. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for nurturing young minds are highly valued.
