Job Description
PGT Physical Education Teacher Position at Madhusudhan Public School
Design and deliver structured Physical Education (PE) classes for students in grades 6 to 12, ensuring age-appropriate activities that align with school curriculum guidelines. Develop and implement lesson plans focusing on sports, fitness, and health education, adapting content to engage diverse student abilities.
Supervise extracurricular PE events, including inter-house competitions, sports days, and school-level tournaments, maintaining fair play and safety standards. Collaborate with the school’s sports committee to organize and coordinate team-based activities, ensuring participation and adherence to rules.
Teach fundamental sports skills, techniques, and strategies across a range of games like football, basketball, cricket, and athletics, while fostering teamwork and discipline. Monitor student progress in PE through practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to help improve performance.
Ensure all PE activities comply with safety protocols, including equipment handling, injury prevention, and emergency preparedness. Maintain a clean and well-equipped PE infrastructure, including gymnasiums and sports fields, by conducting regular inspections and minor repairs.
Liaise with parents and guardians regarding student performance in PE, sharing updates on achievements and areas for improvement in a clear and professional manner. Represent the school at local sports events, showcasing Madhusudhan Public School’s commitment to athletic excellence.
Qualified candidates with a postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed, are required. Three years of relevant teaching experience in Physical Education at the secondary level is mandatory. No TET/CTET certification is necessary for this role. Salary for this position is Rs.30,000 to Rs.50,000 per month. The position is full-time and based in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand.
