Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and supervise co‑curricular dance activities and events for students across all grades.
- Coordinate with school leadership to integrate dance programs into the annual cultural calendar.
- Manage the dance studio schedule, equipment inventory and safety protocols.
- Conduct auditions, selections and performance rehearsals, ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Mentor junior staff and assist in professional development workshops for the dance department.
- Liaise with parents and community partners for outreach programs and collaborations.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff and parents.
- Creative vision for choreography and event planning.
- Ability to handle budgeting, resource allocation and reporting.
- Proficiency in using audio‑visual tools for rehearsals and performances.
Qualification and Salary
A graduate degree is required, with B.Ed or D.El.Ed preferred and TET/CTET considered an advantage. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in managing dance programs or similar extracurricular activities. The remuneration offered is Rs.17,000 - Rs.33,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
