Job Summary
National Public School Omr is looking for a dynamic professional to lead its music program in Bengaluru Urban. The role involves planning, coordinating and overseeing all music related activities, events and extracurricular clubs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum framework that aligns with school policies and state guidelines.
Organise annual music festivals, concerts and inter‑school competitions, handling logistics, budgeting and stakeholder communication.
Manage a team of support staff, external instructors and volunteers, ensuring smooth execution of rehearsals and performances.
Maintain inventory of musical instruments, audio equipment and teaching aids, coordinating repairs and procurement as needed.
Collaborate with the school’s administration to integrate music initiatives into broader cultural and wellness programs.
Prepare reports on program outcomes, student participation and resource utilisation for senior management review.
Liaise with parents, local artists and community organisations to foster partnerships and sponsorship opportunities for music events.
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate degree in any discipline with a strong background in music.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed preferred; TET/CTET considered an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience in managing music programs or related extracurricular activities in a school setting.
Skills and Attributes
Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, staff and external partners.
Creative vision for promoting music culture within the school community.
Proficiency in budgeting and resource allocation for music‑related initiatives.
Salary
Rs.18,000 - Rs.30,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
