Job Description
Position summary
Nagarjuna Vidyniketan in Bengaluru Urban seeks a full‑time PGT Zoology Teacher to enrich its science curriculum. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, guiding laboratory work, and fostering a curiosity‑driven environment for students in Karnataka.
Reporting and scope
Reports directly to the Head of Science Department.
Core duties
Lesson planning and delivery for secondary classes, incorporating current zoological research and field studies.
Supervision of practical sessions, ensuring safety protocols and effective use of laboratory resources.
Assessment of student performance through tests, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback.
Mentorship of junior teachers and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to integrate zoology concepts across subjects.
Participation in school events, science fairs, and community outreach programs to promote biological sciences.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in Zoology or related field, minimum of 2 years teaching experience. B.Ed or D.El.Ed preferred; TET/CTET not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and a passion for experiential learning.
Proficiency in using educational technology and multimedia tools for classroom instruction.
Compensation and location
Monthly salary range Rs.40,000 – Rs.70,000.
