Daily classroom management tasks also include monitoring student participation, addressing behavioral concerns, and maintaining a safe learning space. Ensuring students grasp basic Kannada vocabulary and sentence structures is a priority each day.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve collaborating with senior teachers to align Kannada teaching methods with Sri Lakshmi Public School’s broader educational goals. You’ll participate in weekly lesson planning sessions to refine teaching strategies based on student feedback and progress. Termly assessments and progress tracking ensure students meet Karnataka’s prescribed learning outcomes in Kannada. Reviewing and updating teaching materials to reflect current curriculum updates is also part of your ongoing duties.
Periodic responsibilities include attending school-wide workshops to enhance teaching skills in Kannada pedagogy. You’ll prepare and deliver parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress in Kannada, fostering strong home-school partnerships. Conducting small group interventions for students needing extra support in language acquisition is another key periodic task.
To qualify, a graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed is essential, along with at least two years of teaching experience in Kannada. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this PRT Kannada Teacher role.
