Job Title
TGT Chemistry Teacher – Full‑time position at Global City International School, Bengaluru Urban.
Location
Bengaluru, Bengaluru Urban, Karnataka.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons for classes IX to XII in line with the state curriculum and school’s academic standards. Design practical laboratory sessions, ensure safety protocols, and evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, and projects. Prepare weekly lesson plans, maintain accurate records of attendance and marks, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to the development of the Chemistry syllabus, and support co‑curricular activities such as science fairs and inter‑school competitions.
Assessment and Planning Duties
Create formative and summative assessments that reflect the learning objectives of each unit. Analyse results to identify learning gaps and implement remedial strategies. Coordinate with senior faculty to align Chemistry teaching with interdisciplinary projects, especially in physics and biology streams. Update teaching materials regularly to incorporate recent scientific developments and local relevance.
Professional Expectations
Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment, fostering curiosity and critical thinking among students. Attend school‑wide professional development workshops and share best practices with peers. Uphold the ethical standards of Global City International School and comply with all regulatory requirements, including TET/CTET norms where applicable.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in Chemistry (M.Sc or equivalent) with B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification. Minimum two years of teaching experience in a recognized school. TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience Required
At least 2 years of experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level, with demonstrated ability to manage laboratory work and integrate theory with practical applications.
Salary
Rs.22,000 - Rs.44,000 per month, payable as per school policy.
