Position Summary
Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra is looking for a dedicated PGT Accountancy Teacher to join its Devanahalli campus in Benglauru Rural. The role involves delivering the Class 11‑12 Accountancy curriculum, preparing students for board examinations and nurturing analytical skills. Candidates will handle both theory and practical sessions, ensuring concepts are linked to real‑world financial contexts.
Reporting and Scope
Reports to the Head of Academic Affairs and works within the senior teaching team of the school.
Core Duties
- Design and deliver engaging Accountancy lessons aligned with the Karnataka State Board syllabus, incorporating recent case studies and local business examples.
- Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Organise extracurricular activities such as finance clubs, mock audits and inter‑school accounting competitions to deepen student interest.
- Mentor junior teachers and assist in curriculum planning for the commerce stream, collaborating with the department head for continuous improvement.
- Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, school events and community outreach programmes that promote financial literacy.
Qualification and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Commerce or related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the PGT level, preferably in schools following the Karnataka board.
- TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong command of English and Kannada, with the ability to relate accounting principles to everyday life in Karnataka.
Compensation and Location
The position offers a salary of Rs.40,000 - Rs.65,000 per month. The posting is based in Devanahalli, Benglauru Rural, Karnataka, within the campus of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra.
