What You Will Do
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Information Security, covering topics such as network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, and risk management. Develop curriculum aligned with industry standards and UGC guidelines to ensure academic excellence.
Guide final-year projects and dissertations in Information Security, ensuring real-world relevance and technical depth. Supervise students in capstone projects involving penetration testing and secure coding practices.
Contribute to academic administration by serving on departmental committees and participating in syllabus revision processes. Organize guest lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions with cybersecurity professionals.
Participate in the assessment and evaluation of student performance through assignments, lab work, and examinations. Maintain accurate academic records and provide timely feedback to learners.
Engage in curriculum development by introducing new electives in areas like blockchain security, IoT security, and cloud security. Collaborate with peers to integrate industry certifications into academic programs.
Contribute to the growth of the Information Security program by mentoring junior faculty and supporting accreditation efforts. Represent the department in university-level academic forums and industry-academia partnerships.
Stay updated with the latest developments in cybersecurity through continuous learning and participation in relevant conferences. Publish research findings in national and international journals to enhance institutional visibility.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field with a specialization in Information Security from a recognized university. Candidates with prior teaching experience in Information Security or related domains are strongly preferred.
Industry experience in cybersecurity roles such as penetration testing, security architecture, or compliance will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and SIEM platforms is desirable.
NET/SLET qualification may be considered if the Ph.D. is not completed, subject to UGC norms. A strong publication record in cybersecurity will be an added advantage.
