Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute Of Technology & Management, a renowned University in Udupi, Karnataka, invites applications for the position of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Web Development. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University is recognized for its research excellence in Web Development and related areas.
Day-to-Day Duties
As an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in Web Development, the incumbent will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, guiding Ph.D. students, engaging in research activities, publishing research papers in prominent journals, and participating in academic and administrative activities of the University. The incumbent will also be expected to:
- Teach and develop curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Web Development.
- Conduct research in Web Development and related areas, with a focus on collaborative projects.
- Publish research papers in prominent international and national journals.
- Guide Ph.D. students in Web Development and related areas.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities of the University.
- Develop industry collaborations and partnerships for academic and research purposes.
- Mentor and guide junior faculty and research scholars.
- Participate in Departmental and University-level committees.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field. A post-doctoral experience is preferred. UGC-NET with JRF is desirable. Candidates with a strong research background and publications in top-tier journals will be given preference.
Research & Publications
The incumbent will be expected to engage in collaborative research projects with faculty members from the University and other institutions. Opportunities for research funding will be available through national and international agencies. The incumbent is expected to publish research papers in prominent international and national journals.
Ph.D. Supervision
As a guide, the incumbent will be responsible for guiding Ph.D. students in Web Development and related areas. The incumbent will also be responsible for thesis evaluation and other academic activities related to Ph.D. programs.
What You Get
The selected candidate will be offered a salary of Rs.30,000 - Rs.50,000 per month as per UGC norms, and research grants as per University policies.
