About This Role
Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute Of Technology & Management invites applications for the position of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Generative Ai. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic administration in the Department of Computer Science. This is a full-time position, and the selected candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the Department and the Institute.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Generative Ai, including core courses and elective courses.
- Develop and manage curriculum for master level courses in Generative Ai.
- Guide students in their research projects, including project guidance and mentoring.
- Conduct research in the field of Generative Ai and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in academic administration, including departmental meetings and committee work.
- Supervise Ph.D. students and guide them in their research.
- Participate in academic events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Collaborate with other faculty members in the Department and across the Institute.
- Develop and maintain industry partnerships and collaborations.
Master Level Teaching
- The selected candidate will be expected to teach master level courses in Generative Ai, including core courses and elective courses.
- He/She will also be responsible for developing and managing curriculum for master level courses in Generative Ai.
- The candidate will guide students in their research projects, including project guidance and mentoring.
Who Can Apply
- Ph.D. with 55% marks or equivalent grade in the concerned subject or allied subjects.
- NET/SLET qualified candidates who have not completed Ph.D. may also apply.
- Candidates with publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences will be given preference.
- The candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in teaching and research.
Your Growth Path
- The selected candidate will be eligible for promotion to the post of Professor with an API score of 5.
- The candidate will also be eligible for career advancement to the post of Director or Dean with an API score of 7.
- The Institute follows UGC norms for promotion and career advancement.
Perks and Pay
- Salary: Rs.50,000 - Rs.65,000 per month.
- Allowances as per UGC norms, including DA, HRA, and TA.
- The Institute provides a conducive working environment, including modern infrastructure and facilities.
- The selected candidate will be provided with a residential quarters or HRA as per UGC norms.
