Job Overview
Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute Of Technology & Management, a premier University in Udupi, Karnataka, invites applications for the post of PROFESSOR in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Algorithms at the University level.
What You Will Do
- Teach Algorithms to undergraduate students, including design and analysis of algorithms, computational complexity, and algorithms design.
- Teach Algorithms to postgraduate students, including advanced courses in algorithms, computational complexity, and algorithm design.
- Develop and implement new courses in Algorithms, as per the needs of the Department and the University.
- Guide and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects related to Algorithms.
- Participate in peer review and evaluation of undergraduate and postgraduate theses and projects.
- Collaborate with other faculty members in the Department and the University on research projects and academic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain curriculum and course materials for Algorithms courses.
- Participate in Departmental and University-level committees and activities.
Postgraduate Students
The successful candidate will be expected to guide and mentor postgraduate students in master level courses and research projects in Algorithms. The candidate will be expected to provide guidance and support to students in their research projects, and to evaluate their theses and projects.
Who Can Apply
Ph.D. with 55% or above marks in Computer Science and Engineering or related field. NET/SLET qualified candidates will be given preference. The candidate should have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Career Opportunities
The successful candidate will be eligible for promotion to the post of Associate Professor and Professor, based on API score and other qualifications. The candidate will have opportunities for career advancement and growth within the University and the Department.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for the post of PROFESSOR will be Rs.70,000 - Rs.95,000 per month, as per UGC norms. The candidate will also be eligible for allowances and benefits as per UGC regulations and state government rules.
