About This Role
The Renewable Energy Professor will lead academic programs, guide research in solar, wind, and bioenergy, and shape the next generation of engineers and researchers. This is a full-time position at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute Of Technology & Management, located in Udupi, Karnataka. What You Will Do

Develop and revise curricula aligned with AICTE and UGC standards, incorporating emerging trends like green hydrogen and smart grids.
Lead funded research projects, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and file patents in renewable energy innovations.
Collaborate with industries such as Suzlon, Tata Power, and local solar manufacturers for internships and applied research.
Participate in national and international conferences, presenting findings on energy efficiency and carbon-neutral technologies.
Contribute to institutional committees on sustainability, energy audits, and green campus initiatives.
Mentor student clubs like the Solar Car Team and Eco Club to promote renewable energy awareness.
Who Can Apply
PhD in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems, or related field from a recognized university. UGC-NET/SLET qualified candidates are preferred if PhD is not completed. Minimum 5 years of teaching or industrial experience in renewable energy systems is required. Candidates with industry exposure in solar power plants, wind farms, or energy consulting will be prioritized.
