Tapassu Career Academy in Yadgir is seeking a dedicated PGT Civics Teacher to join their team and inspire students with a strong foundation in political science and governance. This role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about shaping young minds through engaging Civics lessons and real-world civic awareness.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering advanced Civics curriculum aligned with Karnataka’s syllabus, ensuring students grasp concepts like Indian constitutional framework, governance structures, and democratic principles. Your lessons will blend theoretical knowledge with practical examples, fostering critical thinking and civic responsibility. Classroom management will include mentoring students, addressing their queries, and maintaining a disciplined yet inclusive learning environment.
The role also involves collaborating with the school management to integrate Civics into extracurricular activities, such as debates, model parliament sessions, and awareness campaigns. You will assess student performance through continuous evaluation, ensuring they meet academic and behavioral benchmarks. Participation in school-level planning meetings will help refine teaching strategies and adapt to evolving educational needs.
Additionally, you will prepare and present lesson plans, resources, and assessment tools to support diverse learning styles. Staying updated on civic education trends and government policies will allow you to incorporate current events and reforms into your teaching. Your role extends to supervising student projects, organizing field trips, and maintaining a well-organized classroom library.
To qualify, hold a postgraduate degree in Political Science, Sociology, or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. Four years of teaching experience in Civics or a relevant subject is essential. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with benefits tailored to support a fulfilling career in Yadgiri, Karnataka.
