Role Overview
As a PGT History Teacher at Tapassu Career Academy, you will lead history classes for middle and high school students, preparing them for competitive examinations and fostering a love for the subject. Your responsibilities include designing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with fellow teachers to enhance the curriculum.
Teaching Responsibilities
Develop and deliver age‑appropriate history lessons that align with the Karnataka state syllabus. Use diverse teaching methods—class discussions, multimedia presentations, and project work—to cater to varied learning styles. Prepare and administer periodic tests and assignments to gauge student understanding and provide constructive feedback.
Student Assessment
Track individual student performance through regular quizzes, term exams, and project evaluations. Identify learning gaps and suggest remedial measures. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports to support parent‑teacher interactions when necessary.
Department Coordination
Work closely with the history department to update lesson plans, share resources, and participate in curriculum reviews. Attend departmental meetings and contribute ideas for improving teaching strategies and assessment methods.
Parent Communication
When required, communicate with parents regarding their child's progress, attendance, and any academic concerns. Provide guidance on how parents can support learning at home, especially for students preparing for competitive exams.
Professional Development
