Role Summary
Sagar Public School is searching for an Accountant Assistant to handle day-to-day finance operations and support the leadership team. The role sits in the administration wing and bridges daily accounting tasks with long-term financial planning. Overseeing fee collections, vendor payments, and petty cash requires attention to detail and a readiness to step into larger responsibilities as the school grows.
Day-to-Day Duties
Process monthly fee receipts from parents, reconcile bank statements, and maintain accurate cash books.
Prepare salary slips for administrative staff and verify attendance records before disbursement.
Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and obtain necessary approvals from the finance head.
Maintain fixed asset registers and coordinate with the maintenance team for depreciation entries.
Assist in quarterly GST filing and coordinate with auditors during internal and external reviews.
Handle petty cash disbursement and ensure receipts are duly signed and filed.
Generate monthly MIS reports on income and expenses for the principal and management.
Coordinate with the IT team to keep accounting software updated and user access current.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in Commerce or a related field.
Minimum three years of experience in school or educational institute finance is essential.
Experience with Tally or QuickBooks will be preferred during selection.
Your Growth Path
The Accountant Assistant can progress to Senior Accountant within three years by handling larger portfolios.
