Job Overview
Bhopal Girls School invites applications for the position of Post Graduate Teacher in English. This role is designed for experienced educators who can shape the language skills of senior secondary students. The PGT English Teacher will lead curriculum delivery for Classes XI and XII and prepare students for board examinations.
What You Will Do
Plan and execute English language lessons for Classes XI and XII as per CBSE guidelines. Design lesson plans that cover prose, poetry, grammar, and writing skills with interactive methods. Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to improve student performance.
Lead the English department as a subject coordinator, organizing workshops and resource sharing sessions. Coordinate with other departments to integrate language skills across subjects. Provide focused coaching for students appearing for board exams, focusing on writing techniques and literature analysis.
Organize inter-house debates, elocution competitions, and literary quizzes to promote language proficiency. Mentor students for state and national-level English competitions. Maintain student portfolios and track progress through anecdotal records and periodic reviews.
Prepare students for competitive examinations by including advanced comprehension and writing drills. Collaborate with the school’s exam cell to align internal assessments with board patterns. Submit term-wise reports and student progress summaries to the school leadership.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in English with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a senior secondary school. B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this position. TET or CTET certification will be given preference during selection.
Candidates must have prior experience in teaching English at the higher secondary level. Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and board exam patterns is essential. Knowledge of local language and cultural context will be an added advantage for classroom engagement.
