About This Role
Delhi Public School is looking for a Post Graduate Teacher in Physical Education to lead sports and fitness programs for senior secondary students. The role involves planning structured PE lessons, organizing inter-house tournaments, and promoting physical fitness as part of holistic education. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with adolescents and shaping lifelong health habits through sport.
Pedagogy and Tools
Teach a wide range of sports including football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, and yoga to students aged 14-18. Use practical demonstrations, peer coaching, and performance analytics tools to assess skill development. Organize monthly fitness challenges and maintain equipment logs for inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver daily Physical Education classes aligned with CBSE guidelines for senior secondary students. Organize inter-house competitions in basketball, football, and athletics during the academic year. Conduct fitness assessments twice a year and maintain digital records of student performance. Coordinate sports day events and represent Delhi Public School in inter-school tournaments. Supervise the school gym and ensure equipment safety and hygiene. Collaborate with house captains to promote sportsmanship and team spirit. Arrange expert-led workshops on sports nutrition and injury prevention. Prepare students for CBSE physical education practical examinations.
Required Qualifications
Post Graduate degree in Physical Education with minimum 55% marks. B.Ed in Physical Education from a recognized institution. TET/CTET qualified candidates will be preferred for eligibility confirmation.
