The candidate will supervise inter‑class and inter‑school competitions, ensuring safety protocols and fair play. Coordination with the school administration to arrange field trips, fitness workshops, and guest lectures on sports science will be part of the routine. Maintaining accurate attendance records, student progress reports, and activity logs is required. The teacher will also mentor junior staff, provide training on new teaching methods, and support the development of a school sports calendar. Active participation in parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student performance and health concerns is expected. The role involves collaborating with other subject teachers to integrate physical activities into broader learning objectives, enhancing overall student engagement.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate qualification in Physical Education or related field is mandatory. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required for teaching positions; TET/CTET certificates are preferred and will strengthen the application. A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a school setting is essential. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of sports coaching, first aid, and student health management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate diverse learners are crucial for success in this role.
