About This Role
Sagar Public School is looking for a Yoga Teacher to lead wellness initiatives and manage the school’s yoga program. The role involves designing age-appropriate yoga sessions, monitoring student participation, and ensuring alignment with school health policies. This position contributes to the overall well-being and discipline of students by integrating yoga into daily routines.
What You Will Do
Plan and conduct structured yoga sessions for students from Class 1 to Class 12.
Monitor student progress and maintain attendance records for yoga classes.
Coordinate with the school’s physical education team to integrate yoga with sports and fitness activities.
Organize quarterly wellness events such as yoga demonstrations and parent-child yoga sessions.
Ensure the yoga curriculum follows CBSE or state board guidelines.
Prepare monthly reports on student participation and performance in yoga.
Collaborate with the school counselor to use yoga for stress management among students.
Train student volunteers to assist in conducting yoga sessions under supervision.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
Postgraduate degree in Yoga or related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum 3 years of experience in conducting yoga sessions for children or adolescents.
Certification in Yoga from a reputed institute such as Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga.
Good to Have
Experience in school-based wellness programs.
Knowledge of Ayurveda or naturopathy principles.
Familiarity with CBSE or state board curriculum standards.

Excellent communication to explain yoga postures and breathing techniques clearly.
